Mark's Monday Update 10/29/07

Last night was a decent night. One headache that lasted about 20 minutes and allowed me to go back to sleep. I also had one today that was treated easily. It got severe before the medicine kicked it down, but 20 minutes of severe pain is still OK.
I went to rehab today. He basically ran down all my muscles to find where work would be needed and talked a lot about not pushing too far too fast. If we make my body shut down, we are losing ground and we don't want that. A little progress needs to made each time I attend for us to get where we want to be. This may work out to be the best thing for me right now. Time will tell.
Another prayer is being passed from me to Herb. His surgery yesterday seemed OK at first, but is still struggling with things right now. May God be on your side, Herb, as you need him right now. We love you and are pulling for you.
Great day to all,
Mark 10/29/07

Mark,
I must've tried to post a thousand times and each time words fail me. Between the Blog and Sarah, I have kept in touch. Always my prayers and thoughts were/are with you and Betty and the kids. I'm so pleased that you seem to be making such remarkable progress. Just remember, even though this was very sudden, healing in all things, takes a long time. Allow yourself and the family the time you need to recoup and recover. I know that patience can get short, but if you keep your gratitude attitude, it will stay with you.

I have watched you grow up to become a remarkable man. Your actions and love through my life and my kids has always been a part of us. I'm so glad that we have the chance to continue on with the sharing our lives.

Please be patient with yourself Mark. You have come a long, long way. Take rehab in the doses the therapist suggest and dont push so hard you undo what they do.

And on a different note...when you had the cluster headaches, you slept with oxygen and that helped. I dont remember if you've mentioned whether you're doing that again. I'm hoping another miracle happens and the headaches disappear for you again.

I'm not very eloquent with words Mark, but my love for you and your family will always be a part of me. Prayers for each of you are being said nightly.

Take care and keep posting.

Love ya,
Marsha

Just wanted to let you and Betty know how much we enjoyed our visit last night. It was great to see you up walking around, and get to talk to you in person. Happy to hear that you had a ok night as far as the headaches go. We have been praying for Herb last night and today and will continue to do so, please keep us posted on his progress. How often will you go to rehab? and for how long? Love and prayers, Sallie, Scott & Noah
