Wednesday Update

Not a whole lot of updates today. Dad seemed comfortable today, they decreased his morphine and increased his other pain medicines.

His fever was down today which was good and his WBC count decreased a little bit. They did another xray today which showed no change... not very good.

I will post more when I have more to tell...

Keep the prayers a comin!

Love Megan

I worked with Wayman as his secretary for many years. I knew Sharon, Scott, and Mark when they were small. They are the finest people in the world. I watched Mark grow up. He was a great young man and kept all those qualities as a man. I have added the entire family to a prayer request list.

This blog is wonderful. I check it several times a day. Please give my best to Wayman, Sharon, Betty and your sister. Meg, you have all the same qualities as your dad. The angels are watching out for all of you.

Wayman, Sharon, Betty, Megan, Tiffaney, Breanna and Matt,

Just a note of encouragement to each of you to "hang in there". Y'all are doing a wonderful job during this difficult time, plus keeping friends and family up-to-date and we really do appreciate it.

As others have said, I check the blog repeatedly each day for news and just keep hoping and waiting for those doctors to get his pneumonia under control.

I was watching the deer at the corn feeder this morning, wishing Mark could see the doe and fawns, plus the raccoon who was trying to eat breakfast with them. Of course, the doe were being territorial and kept chasing the raccoon off so it was very entertaining. I know how much Mark would have enjoyed watching them.

Please remember to take care of yourselves,

Love, Janet (Mark's cousin)

Thinking about y'all as always throughout this ordeal. I ran across this saying today - I think I ran across it because someone on a higher lever knew that I knew someone to share it with - Keep this thought on your mind:
"The will of God will never take you
where the Grace of God will not protect you."

I too love these types of Christian "quips," as I call them. And if they are originals by my pastor, I call them "Jerryisms." My bible is full of them. I love this one about the Will of God and His grace, I also like "All the known facts are not all the facts." Our God is omniscient, he can see beyond the x-rays! Here's another, "I’d rather walk in the dark with God, than go alone in the light. I’d rather walk by faith with Him, than go alone by sight." We are all in the dark, waiting patiently for Mark's improvement, but He is a lamp for our feet. All we can do is walk by faith and not by sight. What we see is not what God sees! He'll reveal Himself in time, and I believe it's going to be miraculous and worth the wait!!

I know we all have wonderful memories of Granny (Sally Bradley), but one thing I will always remember about her, is that she believed in praying without ceasing. I remember going for walks with her to pick up rocks and she would be talking softly; at the time, I just thought she was talking to herself. I didn't realize she was talking with God. I am so amazed at the network of believers that have Mark in their constant prayers. Thanks to all of the prayer warriors!

Meg may have already mentioned this earlier on the blog, but when you leave a message can you please give us some detail about how you know Mark and maybe the city you live in? I love reading all the comments and sometimes wonder about the connection with Mark. (I know some bloggers are already doing this).

Thanks to all and especially to you Meg for keeping us updated on your Dad's progress.

Love & constant prayers!
