It is hard to be in Florida now and not at your side. Know that we love you all and pray constantly. Our family has been touched by accidents and surgery on the brain previously. When Herb was given little to no hope we were given a prayer book that contained the following prayer:
Divine Physician, you infused Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos with the gift of Your healing. By the help of his prayers, sustain in us the grace to know Your will and the strength to overcome afflictions. For love of You, make ____Mark____ whole. May we learn from the example of Blessed Father Seelos and gain comfort from his patient endurance.
The Pope held a Beautification Ceremony for Fr. Francis Seelos in April 2000. His feast day will be Oct. 5th. Born in Germany he spent many years in New Orleans healing the sick until 1867. A church has been renamed in his honor in New Orleans.
I believe that our family has been blessed with a miracle and since then I have been sharing this prayer with anyone suffering and particularly if they have a head injury. We are reminded of how precious are days together are.
